This policy covers both bots in the THG Discord server: TriBridge (the bridge between the Discord server and the Hypixel guild chats) and the THG Community bot. They are run by The Hypixel Guardians, maintained by zVapor. Both serve the THG server only. The bots are not Discord products. Discord’s own handling of your account and messages is covered by the Discord Privacy Policy.

What is stored

Both bots share one database. Everything in it refers to people by their Discord user ID. Account links. Each bot keeps its own list: your Discord ID, your Minecraft username and your Minecraft UUID, and on the Community bot a rank set by staff. Linking is optional; you start it with /link. Tickets (Community bot). The ticket number and type, who opened, claimed and closed it, the answers you gave in the ticket form, the close reason and the times. When a ticket closes, the bot posts a text transcript of the ticket channel, message text included, to a staff-only log channel. The transcript is a Discord message in that channel; the database keeps no copy. Moderation cases (Community bot). The action (warn, timeout, kick, ban, unban, purge), the member, the moderator, the reason, the duration and whether the member was told by DM. Feature requests (Community bot). The title and description you submit, your Discord ID, its status and who handled it. Blacklist. Members barred from both bots: their Discord ID, the reason and who added them. Server settings. Channels, roles, admin roles and the bridge’s configuration (guilds, audit channel, global profile settings). Your Discord username is stored next to your ID once you use a Community bot command, and refreshed from Discord.

Message content

TriBridge reads messages in the bridge and officer channels only, to relay them. What you post there is sent to the matching Hypixel guild chat, under your Minecraft name if you are linked and your Discord name if you are not, where every guild member in-game can read it. Guild chat is relayed back the same way. Posting in a bridge channel is how you ask for that, and the channel is limited to linked members. TriBridge does not store relayed messages. Linked messages are reposted. A linked member’s message is reposted with their Minecraft head and name and the original deleted. While staff run a global profile change, messages are reposted under another linked member’s name and head; the real author is recorded in a staff-only audit channel. Linking is how you agree to both, and /link says so when you link. The Community bot reads message text only to write ticket transcripts. It does not read or keep messages anywhere else. Neither bot uses message content for AI or machine learning, analytics or advertising.

Why it is stored

  • To run linking, the bridge, tickets, moderation and feature requests.
  • To let staff review cases and tickets and act consistently.
  • To keep the bots secure and stop misuse (the blacklist, admin roles).

Who can see it

  • Members see what the bots post in public channels, and their own tickets.
  • THG staff see tickets, cases, requests, links and the audit channel, through Discord channel permissions and the bots’ admin roles.
  • The maintainer (zVapor) can access the database to run, debug and secure the bots.
We do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers.

Services that process data

How long it is kept

  • Account links until you /unlink, or staff unlink you.
  • Tickets, cases, requests and the blacklist for as long as the THG server uses the bots, unless staff delete them sooner.
  • Ticket transcripts are Discord messages in the log channel and stay until staff delete them.
  • When the bots stop being used, their database is deleted.

Deleting your data and reporting problems

Open a Support ticket in the THG Discord server to:
  • ask for a copy of the data held about you, or to correct or delete it;
  • report a problem with either bot or someone misusing it.
We answer within one month. A moderation record against you may be kept while it is needed to moderate the server; we will tell you what was kept and why. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Discord requires its users to be at least 13 (older in some countries). The bots are not aimed at children and we do not knowingly keep data about anyone below Discord’s minimum age.

Changes

When this policy changes, this page is updated. The bots’ changelogs say when it happened.
